Hi all!
Now that I am back from Italy I am able to think about these good suggestions. How about we set aside next week's Frostheim meeting to share stories about the SCA event in Reengarda this weekend with those of you who aren't traveling south for the event,
including an explanation of things that (are likely to) happen(ed) at the event, including what the various awards that were(will be) given are, how the Prince and Princess got their job, etc. In addition to that, we can brainstorm a list of workshops/themes
for the rest of the meetings between now and summer, and which ones should happen which weeks.
Those of you who can't make it on Thursdays, but can on Wednesdays can send your suggestions either to the list or with someone else in advance. Also, for those of you who can make only Wednesdays or only Thursdays, if you have a specific theme you wouldn't
want to miss, let us know and we will try to slot it in for a week you can attend...
Cheers,
--Kareina

I would like to have themes, like, how to design a shield, and also maybe a list of what you do on meetings? Things we can choose from and what help is offered. Like, bring your fabric and we will pin you into a pair pants. Bring yarn and we can teach you tablet weaving ,needle binding and medieval embroidery, bring Inc and paper and sit and do art with us, fika!!!! A lot of sca is so focused on fighting that it is hard to have other ideas than, sowing cloths, fight and archery. I like the plan on a big project. A long banner? Frostheims heraldry?
Hi All,
When we first started doing the Frostheim meetings at LTU last year
there were quite a number of you who came out to them. That number has
been gradually getting smaller, till there were only two people,
neither of whom are students, at Thursday's meeting last week.
What will it take to bring you back? cookies? lectures? another big
project that everyone can work on? Let me know what things that
relate to either pre1600 history, or "The Current Middle Ages" of the
SCA that interest you enough to come hang out with others on a
Wednesday or Thursday evening, and we will see it we can make it
happen.
Cheers,
